What is Wady?
Wady is a B2B food supply and procurement platform in Qatar. It connects restaurants, cafés, hotels and catering companies with the food suppliers they already work with. Ordering from your suppliers is free forever with the Purchase System. Wady Central, for stock, recipes and costing, and the Order Management System for suppliers are both paid.
What does the name Wady mean?
Wady is the English spelling of the Arabic word وادي (wadi): a valley or riverbed that stays dry most of the year and fills with water when the rain comes. Wady is also the name of a B2B food supply platform in Qatar that connects restaurants, cafés, hotels and catering companies with the food suppliers they already work with. It is operated by WADY LLC in Doha.
What does Wady do with an order?
Wady carries the order from the buyer to the supplier and keeps it organized: items, quantities, the agreed prices and the delivery date, and every order is saved. The supplier accepts the order, delivers it and collects the money, and Wady takes no commission. If a supplier isn't on Wady, the purchase order reaches them by email.
What doesn't Wady do yet?
Plainly: Wady Central doesn't connect directly to a POS yet, it runs alongside it. Wady Central is in English only for now, and an Arabic interface and a mobile app are planned. Approvals and spending limits per branch aren't available yet, they're planned. Pricing for the supplier Order Management System isn't published, you get it by talking to us. And Wady doesn't read orders from WhatsApp or email: the supplier's customers order in the Wady app. And Wady works with businesses in Qatar today.
